Job summary

Side is seeking a Localization QA Game Tester to join the Localization Quality Assurance team. You will be the first to review localized games, ensuring translated text, images, and UI are accurate and culturally appropriate.

You will work within a multilingual project team across platforms and titles, with fluency in German and English and strong attention to detail. This role is ideal for candidates within the Schengen Area seeking opportunities in game localization QA.

Qualifications

• No experience required; fluency in German and conversational English.
• Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
• Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
• Robust Internet research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with different software, applications, and websites is helpful.
• Able to communicate clearly and collaborate within project teams.

Responsibilities

About the role

As Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team and be the very first person to see the localized game in its entirety – translated text, images and the rest of the user interface collectively. You’ll get to experience the project in the way it will be consumed by the end users. You will work in a multilingual project team ensuring that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies and ultimately ensuring that the game is accurately localized into the target language.

Key Responsibilities

Our Localization QA team conducts language checks on upcoming games across a variety of cutting-edge platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and various mobile and tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you will be working on top gaming titles for some of the world’s leading publishers.

Requirements

• No experience required . Just fluency in German and conversational in English.
• Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
