Job summary

Side is seeking an LQA Game Tester based in Braga, Portugal. You will work with a global project team, focusing on language quality checks for top gaming titles across multiple platforms.

No experience is required, but fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and conversational English are essential, along with strong attention to detail and Excel literacy. You will log issues, ensure translations fit context, and help improve localization quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a global project team.
• Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
• Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
• Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
• Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
• Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
• Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
• Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Our Localization QA team conducts language checks on upcoming games across a variety of cutting-edge platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and various mobile and tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you will be working on top gaming titles for some of the world’s leading publishers.

Requirements

• No experience required. Just fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and conversational in English.
• Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
• Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
• Robust Internet research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
