Job summary

Want More in Lisbon invites applications for a live-in caregiver role. You will reside in the client's home, providing daily living assistance, monitoring health, preparing meals, and ensuring safety during shifts.

The position requires compassionate, patient individuals with good communication and basic first aid knowledge. Prior caregiving experience is preferred, and references are required. Accommodation is provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver or similar role preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and medication administration.
• References from previous employers or clients required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Administer medication and monitor its effectiveness.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks: laundry, dishes, tidying up.
• Accompany clients on errands or appointments outside the home.
• Engage in meaningful conversations to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
• Monitor health changes and report to supervisor as needed.
