Job summary

EliteHire is seeking a Crane Operator in Lisbon to safely operate cranes on construction sites and perform daily checks. The role requires independent work on a contract basis with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of crane operation experience and a valid certification. The position may require working outdoors in varying weather, with possible evenings or overtime. Visa sponsorship will be provided for non-local applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of crane operation experience.
• Valid crane operator certification or license.
• Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of cranes according to job specifications.
• Perform daily pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Operate crane controls to lift and move materials according to directions from the ground crew or supervisor.
• Monitor load charts and calculate load capacities to ensure safe lifting operations.
• Communicate effectively with ground crew and site supervisor regarding lift operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
