Job summary

ITDS in Porto offers a hybrid work model for a Lead Developer Java / Angular in the financial services sector. You will shape scalable back-end systems, design API-centric microservices, and drive architectural decisions across teams.

You will lead REST API development, ensure proper contracts and security, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Architects, PO and DevOps to optimize delivery on OpenShift.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience with proven leadership in enterprise-scale platforms.
• Expert in Java/Kotlin and Spring ecosystem (Boot, Data, Security).
• Strong REST API design and event-driven architecture knowledge.
• Experience with OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, logging and monitoring.
• Angular experience for API integration and UI components.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve scalable, API-centric, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Champion Domain-Driven Design, clean architecture and design patterns.
• Design and build back-end services using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Data and Security.
• Lead REST API development with contracts, versioning, and security; develop batch workloads via Spring Batch.
• Ensure rigorous unit and integration testing across back-end and front-end modules.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor development teams; set engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners and DevOps to optimize OpenShift delivery pipelines.
