Nox Health is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Porto to balance system design with hands-on coding. You will split time 50/50 between upstream architecture and hands-on execution, embedding with one of our Scrum teams to deliver production-ready code in Java/Kotlin and Angular.

You’ll lead scalable cloud architectures on AWS, collaborate with Product Management, and mentor engineers while shaping our roadmap with concrete TDDs and well-scoped user stories.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience building highly scalable microservices using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Cloud-native design with distributed systems deployment expertise.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Frontend awareness with Angular experience and collaboration with product teams.
• Experience writing design documents, RFCs, and architectural proposals.
• Proven ability to work in Scrum and break down epics into tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Architect & design: lead technical design of new cloud products with scalable microservices on AWS.
• Collaborate upstream: evaluate PRDs, identify trade-offs, and establish concrete TDDs.
• Build & code: contribute production-grade code with your Scrum team in Java/Kotlin and Angular.
• Lead breakdown: translate TDDs into well-scoped user stories and sprint deliverables.
• Mentor & elevate: raise technical standards through code reviews, pairing, and best practices.
