Zühlke Group is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. • Proven experience as an Azure cloud engineer at a senior level.
• Experience designing Azure landing zones and workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage and security.
• Proficient scripting and automation using IaC and scripting languages.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement Azure landing zones aligned with enterprise-scale architecture.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep.
• Define governance using Azure Policy, management groups, and RBAC.
• Architect and implement multi-region network topologies with Azure Firewall, NSGs, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute.
• Ensure cloud environments are secure, compliant, and cost-optimized.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and application development teams.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Lead technical discussions, provide best-practice guidance, mentor engineers.
• Document solutions and share knowledge across the team.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to join Cloud Technology team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on technical role with opportunities to shape cloud transformation initiatives, enable our Coop teams to deliver new systems with quickly with quality baked in, and mentor other engineers.

The role will focus on strengthening the enterprise Azure platform, including Azure Landing Zones, automated policies and governance, and the development of paved roads for teams across the organisation. Experience with enterprise Azure adoption is essential, with additional experience in designing and implementing Cloud Native platforms, applications and/or AI platforms considered advantageous.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Design and implement Azure landing zones aligned with enterprise-scale architecture principles.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Azure Resource Manager, or Bicep
• Define and enforce governance using Azure Policy, management groups, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Architect and implement multi-region network topologies, including configuration of Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Private Endpoints, and Expressroute.
• Ensure cloud environments are secure, compliant, and cost-optimized.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, security, and application development.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Lead technical discussions, provide guidance on best practices, and contribute to cloud strategy.
• Document solutions and processes, and support knowledge sharing across the team.

What's Important To Us

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in Azure cloud engineering at a senior level.
• Experience designing and implementing Azure landing zones and workloads in Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including networking, compute, storage, and security.
• Experience with Azure governance, policies, and cost management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep) and PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking concepts including VNET peering, Expressroute, DNS, firewalls, and routing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Team involvement and leadership capabilities - including how they have technically motivated or supported team members.
• Use of technical tools (e.g., diagrams, dashboards, documentation platforms) to communicate and illustrate technical concepts effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Desirable Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

Nice to Have

• Experience using Jira as a ticket management solution.
• Familiarity with Kanban boards and understanding of basic workflow principles.
• Experience working in a Scrum environment and team setup.
• Understanding and use of story pointing and estimations.
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-team / cross-functional environments, such as multi-disciplinary project delivery.
