Job summary

Moonb in Lisbon is hiring a Junior Motion Designer to work on-site at our Baixa studio. You will animate motion graphics for brand videos, campaign assets, social content and ad creative under the guidance of a senior creative director.

This is a learning seat with real briefs and feedback, designed to accelerate your growth. You’ll contribute to a steady weekly delivery rhythm and build a path from junior to a full motion design role, collaborating with designers and the team.

Qualifications

• Zero to two years of motion design experience or relevant studies.
• A reel that shows timing, rhythm and design, even if early.
• Working knowledge of After Effects; plus Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere or Figma.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs from concept to storyboard to finished animation, with a senior hand to guide you.
• Design and animate in After Effects and related tools, learning new ones as you go.
• Collaborate with the creative director and designers through feedback cycles to improve the work.
• Adapt assets across formats and platforms to land consistently across channels.

Moonb is a creative production studio. We give marketing teams an embedded, creative-director-led team for video, design, motion and animation, delivered on a steady weekly rhythm: brand story videos, campaign assets, pitch decks, ad creative, social content. High-quality output, on repeat.

Marketing teams work with us the way they would with an in-house creative department, except the whole thing is already built, aligned to their brand, and shipping every week.

We are senior on purpose. Everyone here owns real work and sits close to the creative director. Design is a first-class craft here, not an afterthought to video, and that is why clients keep coming back.

We are hiring a Junior Motion Designer to work with us on-site in our studio in Baixa, central Lisbon. You will animate motion graphics for brand videos, campaign assets, social content and ad creative, always aligned to each client's brand.

This is a learning seat, not a filler seat. You sit next to senior people, you get real briefs, and you get real feedback. You will grow fast because the work is real and the bar is high.

How you can make an impact

• Take briefs from concept to storyboard to finished animation, with a senior hand to guide you.
• Design and animate in After Effects and the tools around it, and pick up new ones as you go.
• Work with our creative director and designers through feedback cycles, and learn how notes become better work.
• Adapt assets across formats and platforms so they land everywhere they need to.
• Help hit a steady weekly delivery rhythm without letting quality slip.

Let's connect if you have

• Zero to two years of motion design experience, including studies, internships or personal projects.
• A reel that shows promise: a sense of timing, rhythm and design, even if it is early.
• Working knowledge of After Effects; a plus if you also touch Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere or Figma.
• Someone who takes direction well, iterates fast, and is not precious about feedback.
• Eager and self-driven, excited to help shape the team as it grows.
• Based in Lisbon (or ready to be) with the right to work in Portugal. This role is on-site, not remote.
• We do not care about degrees, diplomas or certificates. Show us the work. Your reel is your CV.

Nice to haves

• A first taste of 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender or similar).
• Design or illustration skills beyond motion.
• A feel for sound and music editing.
• Any real client or freelance work, however early.
