As a Junior Information Security Analyst you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and enhancement of our organizations information security systems This includes identifying potential vulnerabilities implementing security protocols and conducting regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry standards

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of information security policies and procedures


• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans


• Monitor system logs and network traffic for any suspicious activity


• Help identify potential threats and develop strategies to mitigate them


• Participate in incident response activities as needed


• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends technologies and best practices related to information security

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or related field


• Knowledge of information security principles including access controls encryption methods network protocols etc


• Familiarity with tools such as firewalls intrusion detectionprevention systems IDSIPS vulnerability scanners etc


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues


• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal


• A willingness to learn and stay updated on new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an information security role internship or part-time


• Certifications such as CISSP CISM or CompTIA Security+


• Experience with risk management frameworks NIST ISO 27001
