Job summary

Junior Game Developer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Game Developer to join our growing team in Almada, Portugal. As a game developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing game features, mechanics, and systems. This is a contract job with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship available for non-EU candidates.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop game concepts and mechanics
• Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code in C++
• Implement game features such as gameplay mechanics, user interface, audio, and graphics
• Work with artists to integrate assets into the game engine
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and bugs
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in game development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
• Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal
• Passion for video games and a strong understanding of game design principles
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing mobile games for iOS or Android platforms
• Familiarity with version control software (Git)

Salary

The salary for this position is $1700 per month.
