Job summary

SOMFY is seeking a Junior Buyer to support procurement at the Felgueiras manufacturing site. You will create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system, monitor supplier deliveries and resolve supply issues, contributing to cost optimization and procurement best practices.

You will help develop the Purchasing Department at the new Felgueiras site, ensuring accurate data, supplier management and cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, management, engineering, business or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics or similar.
• Good understanding of supply chain fundamentals and purchasing processes.
• ERP system experience, preferably SAP.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and manage purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Follow up supplier order confirmations, delivery dates and overdue orders to meet requirements.
• Resolve supply-related issues with suppliers, purchasing, supply chain, production and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate supplier, contract and purchasing data for reliable reporting.
• Support procurement activities for direct and indirect categories.
• Track purchasing metrics and provide visibility on KPIs.
• Contribute to procurement best practices and cost optimization initiatives.
