OutSystems is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Global Shared Accounting Services team. You will own critical day-to-day general ledger operations, ensure balance sheet integrity, and drive month-end close across our global entities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 1–3 years of accounting experience, and advanced Excel. English fluency is essential; NetSuite or similar ERP experience is a plus.

As a Junior Accountant within our Global Shared Accounting Services team, you will own critical day-to-day general ledger operations, balance sheet integrity, and month-end close execution across our global entities (EMEA, APAC, AMERICAS). Reporting directly to a Senior/Lead Accountant, you will operate in a high-velocity environment, ensuring compliance with local/global accounting standards and internal controls.

Core Responsibilities

• General Ledger Ownership: Execute journal entries, period-end accruals, prepaid expenses, and cash allocations for multi-currency global entities.
• Balance Sheet Integrity: Own high-volume account reconciliations (Cash, Accruals, Other Current Receivables/Payables), ensuring variances are investigated and resolved within month-end close deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Operations: Partner with Procurement, AP, and AR operations to resolve ledger mismatches and ensure strict cut-off accuracy.
• Audit & Compliance Readiness: Prepare audit schedules and provide clean, well-documented evidence for regional external audit requests.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the close process and actively participate in NetSuite optimization and workflow automation projects.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or progress toward an accounting certification).
• Experience: 1-3 years of professional accounting experience, ideally within a multinational corporate environment.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles (Debits/Credits, Expense Recognition, Matching Principle).
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills to hit strict deadlines, and professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Advanced Excel skills are mandatory; experience with NetSuite or a similar tier-1 ERP is highly advantageous.
