Devexperts is seeking a Java Web Developer to join the Web Development team in Porto. The project focuses on trading platforms and brokerage automation with a global market reach.

You will develop rich internet applications, API services, and work on performance and observability while collaborating with designers, analysts, and clients. The role requires strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and experience with live data streams.

Qualificações

• Must-have: Proficiency in fundamental data structures and algorithms.
• Must-have: Knowledge of design patterns and system architecture development.
• Must-have: Experience consuming live data streams via WebSockets or SSE.
• Nice-to-have: HTML/CSS knowledge.
• Nice-to-have: Magnolia CMS or other CMS experience.
• Nice-to-have: Freemarker or similar template language experience.
• Nice-to-have: Jackrabbit experience.
• Nice-to-have: Software for financial/brokerage domain experience.
• Nice-to-have: TypeScript proficiency.
• Nice-to-have: Docker deployment and NGINX knowledge.

Job Description

We are looking for a Java Web Developer to join a team of Web Development department.

Our current project is creating a software product that can truly compete in the global market!

We expect the Java Web Developer:

• Develop new and improve the existing functionality of our rich internet applications,
• Develop server side logic and develop client-server APIs (REST, WebSocket),
• Analyze and improve performance on both server and client side,
• Work on improving development process and developer experience,
• Work on improving observability and traceability of our components,
• Communicate with designers, developers, business analysts and customers.

Qualifications

Must-have skills:

• Proficiencyin fundamental data structures and algorithms,
• Knowledge of design patterns, experience in system architecture development,
• Experience consuming live streams of data using technologies like WebSockets or server-sent events,

Nice-to-have skills:

• Good knowledges of HTML/CSS,
• Experience in Magnolia CMS or other CMS,
• Experience in Freemaker or other template language,
• Experience in Jackrabbit,
• Experience in development of software for financial or brokerage business,
• Experience in TypeScript is preferable,
• Deployment experience with Docker, NGINX.
