Hexa Consulting is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer (French Speaker) to evolve, maintain and modernize business-critical applications and APIs in a banking context. You will work in an agile environment with a hybrid model in Porto, communicating in French and English with international teams.

The role demands 9+ years of Java-based development experience, strong French language skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer (French Speaker) to support the evolution, maintenance and modernization of business-critical applications and APIs in the banking sector, working in an agile environment with a hybrid model in Porto.

This position requires professional working proficiency in both French and English, as the role involves regular communication and collaboration in an international environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Develop, maintain and optimize Java-based applications and APIs that support core business processes.
• - Contribute to evolutive development, corrective maintenance and technical support activities.
• - Participate in code reviews, unit testing and continuous integration practices.
• - Support application server modernization and migration activities involving JBoss environments.
• - Present technical solutions, alternatives and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• - Collaborate effectively with French-speaking stakeholders and technical teams.
• - Promote software quality, maintainability, development best practices and continuous improvement within the team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• - More than 9 years of professional experience in full stack or Java-based software development.
• - Professional working proficiency in French (mandatory), with the ability to participate confidently in technical discussions, meetings and day-to-day collaboration.
• - Professional working proficiency in English.
• - Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain reasoning, present alternatives and support technical decisions.
• - Autonomy, organization and prioritization skills in agile delivery environments.
• - Collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with initiative to improve development practices and delivery quality.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• - Java EE or Jakarta EE - Spring Boot - Spring Batch - Spring MVC - Maven - JBoss application server - JBoss migration or modernization - Unit testing with JUnit, Mockito or equivalent testing libraries - Software design patterns - Continuous integration principles and tools - Relational databases, particularly Oracle - Agile software development practices - Angular 2 or above

NICE TO HAVE

• - Experience with Angular 14 or above.
• - Knowledge of Linux and Shell scripting.
• - Experience with JMS.
• - Experience with IBM MQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• - Portuguese language skills.
