Job summary

Decskill is seeking a software engineer to join its growing team in Portugal. You will develop and maintain server-side applications, design new features for core platforms, and build integrations with internal and external systems.

The role requires strong Java 17+ expertise, distributed systems experience, and a solid background in scalable, high-performance software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in the full software development lifecycle, and support releases

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with application modernization, migration, or refactoring initiatives.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications and core platform components.
• Design and implement new features for business-critical systems.

• Ensure applications meet high standards of quality, security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, high-performance, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
