Fyld, a Portuguese consulting company, is hiring a Java Backend Developer (French Speaker) in Lisbon. You will work on high-quality backend services, REST APIs, and integration with relational databases, applying Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, and modern CI/CD practices.

Fluency in French and English is mandatory, with about 3+ years in Java development and a banking domain focus. The role emphasizes clean architecture, secure API design, and collaboration within Agile teams to deliver scalable

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Professional experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Hibernate / JPA.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of API design, integration and security principles.
• Strong experience with relational databases, notably PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito).
• Good knowledge of Git and version control practices.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns and clean code.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing backend applications.
• Banking or financial services sector experience.
• Understanding of financial products, banking processes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile development teams.
• Fluency in French and English – mandatory.
