Affinity, a Portuguese technology consulting company with offices in Lisbon, is hiring a Java backend developer. You will design, develop and maintain Java-based services, contribute to new features, and integrate with internal and external systems.

You will work in a hybrid setup (50/50) in Lisbon, collaborating with cross-functional teams and participating in Agile ceremonies to deliver scalable, secure software with high quality.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and backend application development.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Understanding of software design principles, clean code practices, and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services and applications.
• Contribute to the implementation of new features and enhancements across different business domains.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Ensure software quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to development best practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Identify and implement technical improvements to enhance scalability, maintainability, security, and efficiency.
• Support deployment activities and contribute to production stability when necessary.
• Collaborate with development teams to continuously improve development processes and engineering standards.
