Job summary

Genesis Digital Solutions is seeking a Junior Java Backend Developer to join a team building and maintaining backend solutions for Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing products. You will work closely with senior engineers to deliver Java microservices and APIs, under a structured upskilling programme led by Accenture SMEs.

The role emphasizes collaboration in Agile ceremonies, adherence to coding and security standards, and active participation in IAM integration efforts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional Java backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and backend principles.
• Understanding of microservice architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing.
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (GitLab).
• Interest in IAM technologies and protocols (Keycloak, Okta, OIDC).
• Ability to work well in an Agile team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java microservices for Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing.
• Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs per OpenAPI standards.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD and code quality gates (SonarQube, Snyk).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and PR processes (GitLab).
• Support IAM flow integrations (Keycloak, Okta, OIDC) with guidance from seniors.
• Engage in structured technical upskilling programs led by Accenture SMEs.
