Inetum is seeking a Java Backend Engineer to join a strategic program focused on Third-Party Reference Data Management. The role involves designing and building backend architectures using Java/Spring, exposing data via APIs, and ensuring quality with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Ideal candidates have strong Java/Spring expertise, SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred), and experience with microservices, containers, and cloud environments. English proficiency required; French a plus.

Qualificações

• Proven backend software development experience in enterprise environments.

We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer to join a strategic program focused on Third-Party Reference Data Management.

The program consists of several core applications responsible for managing and maintaining reference data related to third parties (individuals and legal entities). These platforms integrate with external public and market data providers, serving as the organization's golden source of reference data.

The solutions play a critical role in ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple systems, reducing reporting discrepancies and supporting both regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, secure, and scale robust backend architectures.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Implement and enhance data exposure solutions through APIs and microservices.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing and engineering best practices.
• Drive solution industrialization by adopting CI/CD methodologies and DevOps principles.
• Participate in solution validation phases alongside business users and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to system performance, reliability, maintainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

Must-Have Skills

• Strong expertise in Java development and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
• Advanced SQL knowledge, preferably with PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices:
  • CI/CD
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Unit & Integration Testing
  • Version Control (Git)
  • Clean Code principles
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, IBM Cloud, or similar).
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ALM.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in Reference Data Management, Data Governance, or Master Data Management (MDM).
• Knowledge of Financial Services or Banking environments.
• Experience operating in hybrid roles that combine technical, functional, and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in backend software development within enterprise environments.
• Ability to take ownership of technical solutions from design through implementation and production deployment.
• Comfortable working across multiple domains and interacting with both technical and business stakeholders.

Languages

• English: Fluent/Professional Proficiency (Mandatory)
• French: Basic knowledge is a plus
