KCS IT is seeking a Mid-level Java Backend Developer to join our hybrid team in Portugal. You will work on scalable backend systems using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, delivering RESTful services and microservices within cross-functional squads.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong SQL skills, testing discipline, and good English proficiency to collaborate with international clients. Hybrid role with on-site and remote options available.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of backend Java development experience.
• Strong OOP, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot for scalable backend apps.
• REST API design and Microservices architecture experience.
• MySQL and relational database design and optimization.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps mindset.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Develop backend Java applications using Spring/Spring Boot.

• Ensure data modeling and SQL optimization for MySQL.
• Write and run unit and integration tests.

We are looking for an Amazing: Java Backend

Seniority: Mid-level (5+ years)

Type of position: Hybrid model in Lisbon. Candidates need to be already living in Portugal!

The amazing you, will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development with Java, preferably using recent versions of the language;
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, clean code, and software engineering best practices;
• Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot, developing scalable and maintainable backend applications;
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with Microservices architectures;
• Strong experience with MySQL and relational databases, including SQL, database design, and query optimization;
• Good understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and a DevOps mindset;
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional development teams;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand, troubleshoot, and debug complex backend applications;
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
