KCS IT, founded in Lisbon, is seeking a mid-level Java backend developer to join our team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust applications using Java and Spring Boot, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across international projects.

Hybrid work options are available, with opportunities onFull Remote or Onsite projects, and a strong emphasis on Best Practices, testing, and documentation. English fluency is mandatory for international collaboration.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot skills.
• Experience with Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD practices.
• Unit and integration testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Knowledge of Clean Code and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.
• Collaboration with Product Owners and Architects.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

The amazing you, will have:

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Java backend development;
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot;
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs;
• Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL;
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD practices;
• Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito);
• Understanding of software development best practices, including Clean Code and Agile methodologies;
• Ability to write clear and structured technical documentation;
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners and Architects;
• Fluency in English (mandatory).

To turn yourself from amazing to unique, you'll have (plus):

• Knowledge of the French language;
• Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar tools;
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases;
• Experience with code reviews, mentoring, or technical guidance activities;
• Familiarity with Design Patterns and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
