Consort Group in Porto is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to strengthen production and DevOps capabilities. You will work within Agile teams to ensure reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across production and non-production environments.

The role requires 5+ years in IT operations or DevOps, strong automation and monitoring skills, and fluency in English with French a plus. Salary ranges from 44K€ to 56K€ gross annually with hybrid work (50%).

Qualificações

Familiar with Agile and DevOps contexts, automation and monitoring.

Responsabilidades

Define technical solutions considering production, infrastructure, security and operational requirements.
Integrate infrastructure and operational needs into project scope and backlogs.
Support development and project teams in production and DevOps best practices.
Facilitate deployment of applications across production and non-production environments.
Implement user stories related to infrastructure, automation and operations.
Coordinate with technical teams to provide production and infrastructure services.
Promote reuse of existing products while ensuring resilience, monitoring and security.
Maintain production and non-production environments in operational condition.
Monitor solutions with observability tools and verify usability and stability.
Identify issues and contribute to action plans; support incidents and releases.
Define and monitor service levels and production indicators; keep docs up to date.
Drive continuous improvement through automation and performance optimization.

IT Operations Engineer

This is your mission

Are you passionate about IT operations, infrastructure, production environments and DevOps practices? Then this position is for you.

As an IT Operations Engineer, you will contribute to the reliability, stability and continuous improvement of production and non-production environments. Working within an Agile and DevOps framework, you will support the integration, deployment, monitoring and operational maintenance of technical solutions while collaborating closely with development, infrastructure and production support teams.

Build Side

Contribute to the definition of technical solutions, taking production, infrastructure, security and operational requirements into account.
Integrate infrastructure and operational requirements into project scope and product backlogs.
Support development and project teams in adopting application production and DevOps best practices.
Facilitate the deployment of applications and technical solutions across production and non-production environments.
Implement technical user stories related to infrastructure, industrialization, automation and operational requirements.
Coordinate with the relevant technical teams to provide the required production and infrastructure services.
Promote the reuse of existing products and services to accelerate delivery while ensuring resilience, monitoring and security requirements are addressed.

Run Side

Contribute to maintaining production and non-production environments in operational condition.
Monitor and supervise technical solutions using appropriate observability and monitoring tools.
Verify the usability and stability of technical environments, including performance, access, backup and restore capabilities.
Identify operational, infrastructure, network and security issues and contribute to the definition of appropriate action plans.
Support incident resolution and provide technical assistance during application releases and production issues.
Contribute to the definition and monitoring of service levels and production indicators.
Ensure that installation, operational and technical documentation is maintained and up to date.
Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, performance optimization and the identification and sharing of operational best practices.

This is your background

You have at least 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, Production Operations or DevOps environments. You are comfortable working across technical teams and understand the requirements involved in maintaining reliable production environments.

You have experience working in Agile and DevOps contexts and are interested in automation, monitoring, infrastructure stability and continuous improvement. You are able to analyse operational issues, coordinate with different stakeholders and contribute to pragmatic technical solutions.

IT Operations & Infrastructure: Production and non-production environments, infrastructure requirements, operational readiness, service continuity and production support.
DevOps & Automation: GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
Monitoring & Observability: Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus and Dynatrace.
Production Management: Deployment, monitoring, supervision, incident support, backup/restore, operational documentation and continuous improvement.
Security & Risk: Understanding of IT security requirements, access traceability, operational risks and security reviews.
Methodologies: Agile and DevOps.
