Capgemini Engineering in Portugal is seeking an experienced IMS specialist to lead end-to-end technical delivery for IMS projects from inception to handover. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage technical risks, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and project timelines.

The role requires strong IMS expertise, familiarity with Nokia IMS is a plus, and excellent communication skills in English.

Qualificações

• University degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Proven IMS deployment, integration, maintenance and upgrades experience.
• Strong knowledge of IMS architecture, network functions and SIP/Diameter interfaces.

Where no two days are the same.YOUR ROLEResponsible for end-to-end technical delivery of IMS projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, project scope, timelines, and quality standards.Accountable for defining and executing IMS deployment, integration, and software upgrade strategies, considering network dependencies and solution compatibility.Responsible for supporting the Project Manager in project planning, resource management, and technical delivery coordination.Lead and coordinate IMS technical teams, ensuring effective task allocation, execution monitoring, and timely resolution of technical challenges.Accountable for the preparation, review, and delivery of technical documentation, including design documents, upgrade assessments, implementation procedures, and acceptance testing plans.Responsible for managing technical risks, identifying potential issues, and implementing mitigation and corrective actions.Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, internal stakeholders, R&D, and Product Management throughout the project lifecycle.Accountable for coordinating software upgrades, including maintenance window planning, network element sequencing, traffic migration, and execution readiness.Responsible for technical issue management, including ticket prioritization, escalation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Ensure compliance with customer and internal technical processes, quality standards, and network intervention procedures.Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and delivery efficiency.Accountable for regular technical project reporting, stakeholder communication, and successful project handover to Care teams.YOUR PROFILEUniversity degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.Proven experience in IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) solutions, including deployment, integration, maintenance, and software upgrades.Strong technical knowledge of IMS architecture, network functions, and interfaces, including relevant telecommunications protocols such as SIP and Diameter.Solid understanding of telecommunications network environments, software lifecycle management, and network integration processes.Experience in technical project delivery, including planning, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional technical teams in complex customer environments.Experience in troubleshooting, technical issue resolution, escalation management, and root cause analysis.Good understanding of software upgrade methodologies, network dependencies, compatibility assessments, and maintenance window execution.Familiarity with Nokia IMS solutions and network elements will be considered an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make technical decisions in challenging situations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, technical teams, and management.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within agreed timelines.Proactive mindset, customer-oriented approach, and commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.WHAT YOU´LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HEREJoin a multicultural and inclusive team environment.Enjoy a supportive atmosphere promoting work life balance.Hybrid work.Your career growth is central to our mission.
