Job summary

AlphaGlobal in Funchal, Portugal, seeks an IOS Developer to design and build mobile applications for the IOS platform. This is a contract role with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship for non-European candidates.

You will design and implement features, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and conduct unit tests to ensure robustness. Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C, iOS frameworks, RESTful APIs, and Git is required. Salary is 1600 USD per month.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in IOS app development.
• Proficient in Swift and/or Objective-C.
• Knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the IOS platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
