Point Capital Partners in the Greater Porto region is looking for a motivated Junior Investment Analyst to join our team. You will support research and evaluation of potential opportunities and assist in preparing investment decks and marketing materials for transactions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in management, economics or engineering, up to two years in corporate finance or M&A, and strong financial modeling with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. English and Portuguese fluency is essential.

Qualificações

• Degree in Management, Economics or Engineering.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years in corporate finance, financial analysis, M&A, or audit.
• Strong financial modelling skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Responsabilidades

• Research and analysis of potential investment opportunities.
• Support the preparation of investment presentations, teasers, investment decks, and other materials.
• Perform strategic and financial analysis on target sectors and companies.
• Build and maintain valuation models (DCF, comps, scenarios).
• Produce and maintain a database of standard materials and market benchmarks.
• Support deal flow management from origination through exit.

We are looking to recruit a motivated Junior Investment Analyst to join our team in the Greater Porto region.

Your Main Activities Are

• Research & Evaluation: Research and analysis of potential investment opportunities.
• Transaction Support: Support the preparation of investment presentations, teasers, investment decks, and other marketing materials related to transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Strategic and financial analysis on target sectors and companies.
• Valuation Modeling: Build and maintain valuation models (DCF, comparable market and trade multiples, scenario analyses, among others).
• Database & Materials Management: Produce and maintain a database of standard presentation materials and market benchmarks.
• Deal Flow Management: Support the management of the deal flow pipeline, from origination through to exit.

Profile and Skills for Success

• Academic Background: Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Management, Economics or Engineering.
• Experience: Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, M&A, or audit.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Proficient user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience AI tools
• Solid understanding of financial statements and valuation principles.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong business acumen and excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
• High level of fluency in both English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
• Strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail, adhering to the highest quality standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
