Job summary

ForceShield, Inc. in Almada, Portugal, seeks an experienced Interpreter to provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between English and Portuguese for clients and internal meetings.

You will translate written documents, act as a cultural liaison, and maintain confidentiality while ensuring accuracy and professionalism. The role requires at least 2 years of interpreting experience and strong communication skills, with flexibility to work weekends if needed; accommodation is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or related field preferred.

Interpreter

We are an international company based in Almada, seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient language interpretation services for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation services between English and the designated language (preferably Portuguese)
• Translate written documents from English to the designated language
• Act as a cultural liaison between clients and colleagues
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Attend meetings, conferences, and other events as needed to provide interpretation services
• Collaborate with other interpreters and team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in translation
• Keep up-to-date with industry terminology and language trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or related field (preferred)
• Fluency in English and the designated language (preferably Portuguese)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an interpreter
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent listening skills and ability to accurately convey meaning between languages

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this full-time position.
