Job summary

H.B. Fuller Portugal is seeking an Internal Auditor to support SOX controls testing, internal audits, and compliance initiatives across global operations.

The role safeguards the organization by evaluating financial, operational, and compliance controls, and by identifying risks with cross-regional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years of audit experience (Big Four or manufacturing preferred), strong Excel and ERP skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field.
• At least 3 years of audit experience, preferably within a Big Four firm and/or manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the country of employment and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform SOX 404 controls testing across assigned regions.
• Execute internal audits in line with the annual audit plan.
• Assess the effectiveness of financial, operational, and compliance controls.
• Support fraud and non-compliance investigations with Legal and business partners.
• Identify process gaps, root causes, and remediation opportunities.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop and track corrective action plans.
• Build collaborative relationships with local and global teams.
• Contribute to data analytics, audit process improvements, and special projects.

Position Overview

H.B. Fuller is seeking an Internal Auditor to support the execution of SOX controls testing, internal audits, and compliance-related activities across global operations. This role helps safeguard the organization by evaluating financial, operational, and compliance controls, identifying risks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple regions and contribute to a strong culture of integrity, accountability, and risk management.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience supporting multinational or global audit engagements.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Power BI.
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, recommend practical solutions, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
