ForceShield in Almada, Portugal is hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to install, calibrate, maintain and repair instrumentation and control systems in our facility. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of all instrumentation while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ industrial experience, strong calibration knowledge and the ability to read drawings.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of instrument calibration methods, electrical circuits and control systems.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes and other testing equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for working with live electricity and hazardous materials.

Responsabilidades

• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair instruments such as pressure gauges and control valves.
• Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Identify and resolve issues with instrument readings or malfunctions.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to diagnose problems.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to complete projects.
• Document work in maintenance logs or CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies while working on instrumentation.
• Train new technicians on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
