ForceShield in Almada, Portugal is hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to install, calibrate, maintain and repair instrumentation and control systems in our facility. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of all instrumentation while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ industrial experience, strong calibration knowledge and the ability to read drawings.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of instrument calibration methods, electrical circuits and control systems.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes and other testing equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for working with live electricity and hazardous materials.

Responsabilidades

We are currently hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Almada. As an Instrument Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various types of instruments and control systems in our facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install calibrate troubleshoot and repair various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors and control valves.


• Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.


• Identify and resolve issues with instrument readings or malfunctions.


• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to diagnose problems.


• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete projects and tasks efficiently.


• Document work performed in maintenance logs or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).


• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures while working on instrumentation.


• Train new technicians on instrument installation, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
