Vilamoura International School (CIV), part of Inspired Education Group, seeks an IBDP / Computer Science Teacher to deliver high-quality CS education across Key Stage 3 up to examination classes within the international curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have IB Diploma experience or strong exposure to Cambridge IGCSE / A Level frameworks, with a focus on computational thinking, programming and real-world applications. A recognised teaching qualification is essential.

Qualificações

• IB Diploma experience highly desirable or strong experience with Cambridge IGCSE / A Level frameworks
• Experience preparing students for external examinations (IB, IGCSE, A Level or equivalent)
• Strong CS knowledge including programming and computational theory
• Commitment to inquiry-based, student-centred learning
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare and deliver CS lessons across Key Stage 3 and examination levels
• Teach CS at KS3 and at examination level (IB Diploma, IGCSE, A Level or equivalent)
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments
• Design formative and summative assessments aligned with international standards
• Promote computational thinking and problem-solving through programming and system design
• Support practical programming skills and theory of CS concepts
• Differentiate instruction for diverse abilities and keep parents updated on progress
• Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary learning and digital innovation
• Attend meetings and professional development activities
