Job summary

Bosch Automotive Aftermarket (China) in Aveiro, Portugal, seeks a Software Development Engineer to advance the digitalization of engineering laboratories by building software for testing, data acquisition, and smarter lab operations. You will work in an international, multidisciplinary environment on automation and measurement processes across validation activities.

Qualifications

University degree in Mechanical, Automation, Computer or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in software development within lab, test, automation or industrial environments.
Experience with LabVIEW development.
Experience with test and measurement systems and automation benches.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software for labs and automated test environments using LabVIEW, Python, and VBA.
Develop automated test sequences, measurement systems, and data acquisition solutions.
Integrate lab equipment and hardware with software architectures.
Create interfaces between software and hardware via RS232, TCP/IP, UDP, OPC UA, and more.
Support commissioning, validation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated test systems.
Ensure software quality through testing, debugging, and version control.
Create documentation, specifications, user guides, and test reports.
