Job summary

Unit4 is seeking an Information Protection & Security Operations Engineer in a hybrid role. You will split time between information protection using Microsoft Purview and security operations, deploying and maintaining security solutions while collaborating with IT, HR, Legal, and Compliance teams.

The role demands hands-on experience with DLP, Insider Risk, SIEM/XDR, and a strong understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR and ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/InfoSec or similar field.
• Experience with Purview DLP/Insider Risk in production environments.
• Familiarity with GDPR/ISO 27001/NIS2 and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and tune Microsoft Purview DLP policies across Exchange/SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams.
• Configure Insider Risk Management and policy templates; collaborate with HR/Legal/Compliance.
• Implement information classification, sensitivity labels, auto-labeling and encryption.
• Manage retention, records, and Defender for Cloud Apps policies.
• Monitor DLP/Insider Risk alerts; investigate and report on policy effectiveness.
• Develop and document protection standards, runbooks, and assist audits (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Drive security awareness and training for business teams.
• Deploy and configure security solutions (IDS, EPP).
• Monitor security incidents with Defender XDR and Sentinel; triage alerts.
