A leading automotive company in Porto is seeking an experienced HR leader to define and implement their human resources strategy. This role involves management of recruitment, payroll, and union negotiations, requiring a degree in HR or similar, and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. Description
  • Define and implement the human resources strategy in alignment with the company's overall strategy;
  • Coordinate and supervise payroll processing and administrative personnel management, ensuring compliance with labour, tax and social security legislation;
  • Manage recruitment, selection and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with production and organisational needs;
  • Develop and monitor training plans, skills development programmes and performance assessment processes;
  • Define and manage compensation and benefits policies, promoting internal equity and external competitiveness;
  • Lead labour relations and conduct negotiations with unions and workers' committees, ensuring social dialogue and compliance with collective agreements;
  • Support organisational change management, restructuring processes and continuous improvement projects;
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, innovation and social responsibility;
  • Ensure effective internal communication and alignment between management and employees;
  • Monitor HR performance indicators and propose optimisation measures.
Profile
  • University degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Law, Organisational Psychology or a similar field;
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in HR leadership roles, ideally within the automotive or industrial sector;
  • Proven experience in union negotiations and the management of complex labour relations;
  • In-depth knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation and people management practices;
  • Experience in payroll processing and administrative personnel management;
  • Solid knowledge of the main requirements of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards, widely applied in the automotive and environmental sectors;
  • Fluency in English.
