Gaman is seeking a Head of Systems Integration in Guimarães, Portugal, to oversee end-to-end systems engineering across structural, electronic, software, power, communications and payload domains.

You will own architecture, ICDs, V&V master plan, and run the integration tests, serving as the technical bridge between engineering teams and external partners to ensure interoperability and certification readiness.

Qualificações

• MSc or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• INCOSE CSEP or ASEP certification is mandatory.
• Complementary training in ECSS-E-ST-10, ARP-4754A, MBSE tools.
• Knowledge of V&V methodologies, qualification test standards and MBSE

This job position requires a mandatory National Security Clearance. Candidates must meet the essential NATO security requirements to be eligible for certification:

01 / Objective & Overview

Responsible for the end-to-end systems engineering and integration of Gaman's complex platforms, ensuring all sub-systems — structural, electronic, software, power, communications and payload — function as a coherent, validated system meeting mission requirements. Owns the system architecture definition, interface control documents (ICDs), verification and validation (V&V) master plan, and the integration test environment. Acts as the technical bridge across all engineering departments and external partners, ensuring interoperability, traceability and certification readiness.

02 // BASE FORMATION

• >> MSc or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• >> Formal systems engineering qualification: INCOSE CSEP or ASEP certification is mandatory
• >> Complementary training in ECSS-E-ST-10 (Space Systems Engineering), ARP-4754A, and MBSE tools
• >> Knowledge of V&V methodologies, qualification test standards and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)

03 / Required Experience

• Minimum 6 years in systems engineering with at least 3 years as lead systems integrator on complex platforms
• Demonstrated experience managing system-of-systems integration across hardware, software and communications
• Track record in architecting and executing V&V campaigns from unit testing through full-system acceptance
• Experience producing and maintaining ICDs, SEMPs, and system verification matrices (SVMs)
• Expertise in MBSE tools (SysML, Cameo Systems Modeler, DOORS or equivalent)
• Experience in aerospace, defence or space programme integration with multiple sub-contractors is essential
