Our Banking Operations department stands out for the excellence of its unique tailor-made service, recognized by customers and the market alike. Nearly 200 employees work closely together in Switzerland and Singapore to handle the banking operations of demanding customers.

The Role

The Head of Cash Operations & Reconciliation team will be responsible for :

  • The processing of cash remittances, standards and derivatives FX/MM operations, FX/MM confirmations reconciliation and cash management of secondary nostro accounts.
  • Supervision and controls of the processes within the Cash function.
  • The Management of the FX/MM teams.
  • The management of the Reconciliation & Investigation team as well as their processes.
  • Ensuring that the services delivered to the Azqore clients are most efficiently and productively performed.
  • Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.

But here’s the exciting part: you’ll be helping launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.

The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa, Portugal).

Your responsibilities

Daily BAU

  • Successful applicant will be responsible for the management of Cash Operations and Reconciliation, part of the Operations management team
  • Ensure operational efficiency and excellence and maintain low levels of operational risk
  • Align the Cash Operations and Reconciliation team members to the Operations and Company goals and vision
  • Acts as the point of escalation for European clients on all Cash Operations and Reconciliation queries, concerns and issues.

Others

  • Leads Azqore Operations projects and initiatives, where necessary
  • Drive cross border collaboration and strengthen communication channels between the Swiss and Portugal teams
  • Enhance client service standards within the team, and consequently the client ratings of the function. Propose/identify value-add solutions which can impact profitability.

  • Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the system, S2i, as well as Azqore, including its vision, objectives and culture, and leverage this in interactions with the clients.

  • Demonstrate and cultivate a process excellence mindset and awareness within the team
People Management
  • Cultivate habits around the Azqore management charter
  • Ability to engage, influence and lead the Portuguese Cash Operations & Reconciliation team to achieve Operations/company goals
Other
  • Fluency in English and French
  • At least a Bachelor degree (preferred Master degree), preferably in Accountancy, Banking & Finance
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Cash Operations & Reconciliation and at least 5 years of people management experience
  • Excellent communication skills; Ability to collaborate, especially cross border
