Cloudflare Lisbon, Portugal, is hiring for its Egress team to build a scalable network software infrastructure. You will contribute across the software lifecycle, shaping systems that connect Cloudflare’s vast products to any destination on the Internet.

You will work with Go or Rust, Linux networking, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes, and more, while collaborating with multiple engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with end-to-end ownership.
• Programming experience in Go or Rust and a desire to improve in both.
• Solid grasp of networking protocols in OSI Layers 3-4.
• Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Experience implementing secure and highly-available distributed systems.
• Strong ability to debug issues in complex systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience/interest in HTTP networking and VPN technologies.
• Experience/interest in network performance monitoring and tuning.
• Willingness to adopt AI tools in engineering workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Make daily progress on assigned engineering tasks, such as designing systems and writing code.
• Participate in daily and ad-hoc team meetings to share progress and collaborate.
• Participate in the team’s on-call schedule to ensure uptime.
• Investigate customer issues escalated to the Egress team.
• Respond to questions from other teams in the Egress team’s chat room.
• Use AI-powered tools to analyze codebases and accelerate problem-solving.
