Job summary

H.B. Fuller Portugal is seeking a GL Accountant to join our Europe Record to Report team in Mindelo, Portugal. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, local GAAP compliance, and supporting month-end close within a multinational environment.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Accounting and hands-on SAP and Advanced Excel experience, plus English proficiency and work authorization for Portugal. This is a hybrid role with opportunities for international exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a multinational company or shared services environment.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accounts in compliance with local GAAP and company policies; ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting to Europe Accounting Team.
• Ensure statutory accounts and tax returns are filed on time; collaborate with local tax advisors.
• Perform RTR journal entries and monthly reconciliations; support internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Assist with external and internal audits as needed.
