Job summary

A2F Consulting is seeking economists to join our Economic Analysis and Evaluation group in Lisbon. This hybrid role requires regular presence at our Lisbon office and offers exposure to global clients across public and private sectors.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree or PhD in economics and have 2–5 years of experience in economic analysis, evaluation, or market research. Strong quantitative skills, English proficiency, and travel willingness are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Economics or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in economic analysis, evaluation, market research, surveys, or applied research.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to translate research and analysis into practical policy recommendations.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and/or lead research and consulting projects for public and private clients on economic policy issues, including evaluations, market studies, surveys, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Develop and apply appropriate research methods, data collection tools, and analytical frameworks using economic and empirical approaches.
• Manage and support projects both on-site and remotely, including oversight of scope, timelines, and quality.
• Contribute to client relationships, business development, proposals, technical reports, and subject-matter publications.
• Support knowledge management and training activities.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time is required.
