BorgWarner is seeking a Global Cost Engineering Professional Intern to support cost transparency and provide data-driven cost analysis across suppliers, plant operations, and global teams. The role involves data validation, should-cost calculations, and supplier evaluations within a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree with commercial awareness, is fluent in English, and can collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement in an international setting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical or Manufacturing/Production Engineering or Polymer Engineering or Material Engineering with a strong commercial or economics background or Bachelor’s degree in Economic or Business Administration with a strong technical background or similar experience
• Experience or interest in Automotive Industry (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement)
• Willingness to work cross-functionally in an international corporate environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
• Experience with cost calculation and cost breakdowns
• Fluency in English; additional language is a plus

Responsabilidades

• Internal workload pipeline management
• Data consolidation and verification for short term requests
• Maintaining multiple data sources and tables for the Siemens Team Center calculation software
• Running updates and verifying data for the Siemens Team Center calculation software offer analysis and cost breakdown analysis for manufacturing equipment
• Perform standardized supplier evaluations
• Support on performing should-cost calculation for Emissions, Thermal and Turbocharger components, namely of purchase parts in multiple commodities and manufacturing technologies

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical or Manufacturing/Production Engineering or Polymer Engineering or Material Engineering with a strong commercial or economics background or Bachelor’s degree in Economic or Business Administration with a strong technical background or similar experience
• Interest and/or experience in the Automotive Industry (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality Engineering, Procurement, …)
• Willingness and/or experience in working cross-functionally in an international corporate environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required
• Experience with cost calculation and cost breakdowns
• Fluency in English, additional language is a plus
• Ability to work self-directed at a fast pace dealing with multiple tasks simultaneously, predisposition to analytical problem solving, and good communication skills.
