Job summary

Komodo Consulting seeks a FullStack Developer (React + Node) for a Tech project in Lisbon. You will architect backend services with serverless tech, write Node.js/TypeScript, and build React frontends with state management and performance optimization.

Working hybrid, you will collaborate with Product, Design, and QA, implement RESTful APIs, and drive quality through testing and code reviews. Kubernetes experience and cloud platform skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on React with state management (Redux or Zustand) and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience with Next.js for SSR and full-stack development.
• Hands-on Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab for version control.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
• Cloud platform experience (GCP and/or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable backend services using serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions), ensuring performance and reliability.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Node.js and TypeScript, supporting maintainability and team collaboration.
• Design and evolve RESTful APIs and microservices, following best practices for modularity and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and deliver impactful features aligned with business goals.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement of development standards.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements in scalability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain React-based frontend applications, including state management and frontend performance optimization.
• Manage and operate containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.
