Cognizant is seeking a JavaScript Engineer focused on Web Browser Vulnerabilities in Lisbon, Portugal. The role emphasizes analyzing, reverse engineering, and securing browser-based applications and extensions, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and security-focused workflows.

The candidate will review code, implement detection rules, and contribute to automation while staying current with cyber security best practices and open web technologies.

Qualificações

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript including closures, prototypes, scope, hoisting, callbacks and OOP concepts.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of JSON, AJAX, and ES6/ES7 standards.
• Good understanding of Node.js and Webpack.
• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or jQuery.
• Strong code analysis, debugging and reverse engineering skills in JavaScript apps.
• Ability to analyze JavaScript code and identify malicious activities effectively.
• Good communication and collaboration within teams.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze web extension code using static and dynamic analysis to detect security violations.
• Perform JavaScript reverse engineering and debugging of obfuscated code.
• Identify and report security vulnerabilities with root cause analysis and remediation steps.
• Support takedown and investigation of malicious browser extensions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote secure coding practices.
• Define and implement detection rules and security patterns at scale.
• Identify emerging threat patterns and share insights to improve detection capabilities.
• Drive automation improvements for security workflows and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and grooming to team members.
