NFON AG in Lisbon is seeking a Frontend Engineer with a strong focus on modern frontends (TypeScript/Angular) to help develop NFON’s cloud-based phone system.

You will design scalable frontend components, collaborate with engineers to build robust software, and explore Go backend services. The role offers hybrid work, learning budgets, health coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Are you ready to shape the future of business telephony? As a Frontend Engineer with a strong focus on modern frontends (TypeScript/Angular), you will help develop and enhance NFON’s cloud-based phone system.

You will help design and implement scalable frontend components to ensure high availability and performance. Your contributions will directly impact our product's reliability and efficiency, empowering businesses across Europe. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and agile environment. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to work on designing, developing, and architecting backend services (Go). The work you‘ll do

• Build features across web applications and backend service components using AI-assisted development workflows
• Use AI tools to generate, refine, and accelerate software development while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and improve technical solutions
• Investigate and solve technical challenges using a combination of logical reasoning, experimentation, and AI-powered tools
• Write, test, review, and ship production-ready software
• Contribute to improving development workflows and engineering productivity through AI
• Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices

The qualifications you need

• Strong experience with modern frontend development using TypeScript and Angular, alongside HTML5 and CSS3
• Passion for software architecture, clean code, testing, and engineering best practices
• Experience with state management using NgRx or comparable technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges and develop pragmatic, high-quality solutions
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar – combined with the ability to critically assess AI-generated output
• Collaborative mindset, curiosity, and the drive to continuously learn and improve
