Job summary

The Standard, Lisbon is preparing for its opening and Hyatt Hotels Corporation invites applications for a Front Office Intern. You will work with Front Office and Guest Experience teams to support pre-opening activities, learn systems like Opera Cloud, and help create first impressions on arrival.

Ideal candidates are hospitality students with a passion for service, fluent in Portuguese and English, flexible with weekends, and eager to learn in a fast-paced luxury setting in Lisbon.

Your role

As our Front Office Intern, you'll be joining us at one of the most exciting moments in a hotel's journey: the countdown to opening. Working alongside our Front Office and Guest Experience teams, you'll gain first-hand experience of what goes into launching a lifestyle hotel, from preparing for opening day to creating those all-important first impressions.

You'll get involved in pre-opening activities, support the preparation of Front Office operations, learn our systems and service standards, and help ensure everything is ready for our first arrivals.

Once our doors open, you'll be right at the heart of the action, welcoming guests, supporting check-in and check-out, responding to enquiries and helping visitors discover the very best of Lisbon. You'll also gain exposure to guest relations, VIP arrivals, special requests and the behind-the-scenes coordination that makes great hospitality feel effortless.

This isn't your typical internship. You'll experience the buzz, challenges and unforgettable moments of launching a new hotel, learn from experienced hospitality professionals and have the chance to make your mark from the very beginning. Qualifications

Previous hotel experience isn't essential. We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, a positive attitude and an appetite to learn.

• Be studying Hospitality Management, Tourism or a related discipline, ideally seeking an internship as part of their academic programme
• Have a genuine interest in Front Office operations, guest relations and lifestyle hospitality
• Be naturally warm, confident and comfortable connecting with people from all walks of life
• Bring energy, creativity, curiosity and a proactive, hands-on approach
• Be organised, attentive to detail and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Be a team player who's eager to learn, contribute ideas and embrace new challenges
• Have an interest in Lisbon's culture, food, music, art and nightlife
• Be comfortable with technology and keen to learn hotel systems such as Opera Cloud
• Have a good working knowledge of Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus
• Be flexible with working hours, including weekends, in line with the agreed internship programme
