About The Job

The Finance Capital Markets Products Controller mission is to ensure the reliability, sincerity, integrity and the exhaustiveness of the accounting delivered by the upstream chains (Front to Back) and organisation (Operations – Back and Middle Office). This position works within the BNP Paribas' GECD business that encompasses research, structuring, trading and sales of equity, index and fund derivatives.

Your Main Activities Are

• Ensure the accounting control level one on a dedicated perimeter of products within your team and ensure proper justification on all accounting control, among which is reconciliation with operations data inventory and reconciliation of sensitive accounts.
• Analyse breaks and operational or financial risks, as well as monitor and follow up on discrepancies resolution and manage escalations to the management if needed.
• Ensure good collaboration with all partners and animate the relation by anticipating pre‑closing issues, as well as ensure fluid communication during the closing period and formalize issues and present them to avoid them next time (post‑closing).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the control set‑up and ensure permanent evolutions are realized in order to avoid manual adjustment.
• Formalisation of team procedures and operating guides, which include participation in training and coaching for new joiners, formalisation of onboarding materials, and active participation in management and department staff meetings.
• Contribute or lead projects related to efficiency of the processes and systems, as well as propose new developments or improvements in the existing chain, to secure the processes and reduce operational risk.
• Contribute to the Finance Arbitrage major project: replacement of the current General Ledger CODA with the Group Ledger OFS and assist on other Business & regulatory projects, which include contributing to the OFS project during the different phases (requirements/testing/shadow production/controls), participating in training on the new tools and processes with OFS, and assisting and controlling on other Business & Regulatory projects in collaboration with the project team (participation to requirements/testing/specific control post‑migration or go‑live).

Profile And Skills To Success

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance and/or Accounting.
• Up to 4 years of professional experience in accounting and/or finance.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office Pack Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient knowledge of Matisse and Oracle.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
• Good communication skills.
• Teamwork and ability to collaborate.
• Results driven with the ability to deliver.
• Analytical ability.
