About The Role

As Reserve Account Executive of Lisbon, in the highly influential top-end On-Trade, which is the heartland of the premium spirits world, you will play a crucial role in building the status, equity and rate of sale of our brands through delivery of brand objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Identification and segmentation of outlet universe: Identify all outlets falling in the description above within the assigned territory; assign outlets to relevant outlet category based on segmentation guidelines and record them through the CRM tool; visit outlets in the assigned territory based on call frequency established for the relevant outlet category.
  • Driving distribution of Diageo brands: Identify partnership opportunities with outlets in the assigned territory; work closely with the Account Manager and the distributor’s sales team to identify distribution and activation opportunities; negotiate pouring, distribution and activation agreements based on company guidelines.
  • Implementation Of Executional Standards: Priority sales drivers for relevant outlet category are driven in line with minimum and magnificent standards as defined by customer marketing; promotional activities for our brands are implemented in detail, in line with Diageo Europe activity calendar; ad hoc incremental opportunities are identified; in-outlet performance and execution levels are accurately supervised and measured in CRM; in case of non-compliance, identify and drive corrective actions.
  • Partnership: Work in coordination with the Account Manager of the territory to identify partnership opportunities with outlets served by wholesalers relevant for the RTC in the territory; reporting line is to the Head of Reserve of Italy Portugal.

Portfolio: Core, Reserve and Innovation
Customers: Cocktail bars, night clubs, hotels, and restaurants identified as trend-leading accounts and pacemakers.

Qualifications

Experience / skills required

  • Will to win; you get up every day with the aim to beat your predefined targets
  • Passionate about what you do, love the night trade
  • Commercial relationships; you need to be able to effectively influence Diageo customers to achieve win-win outcomes, building long-term mutual profitable relationships
  • Executional attitude; deliver vs predefined targets and pursue additional opportunities
  • Flexible communication style; adapt to the most effective style based on the type of buyer
  • Quick learner; absorb skills and knowledge quickly to promote the broad portfolio
  • Willingness to work evenings and nights on a regular basis
  • 2-3 years of sales experience is a strong plus (On-trade is the preferred channel)
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and a sophisticated level of English
