This fully remote opportunity offers an international, inclusive environment where you can influence technical decisions, develop talent, and contribute to products used by businesses and creators worldwide.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and Develop Engineering Teams: Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, support professional development, and empower engineers to deliver high‑quality results.
  • Drive Product Outcomes: Partner with Product Managers and Designers throughout discovery, opportunity assessment, solution definition, and prioritization to ensure engineering efforts deliver meaningful business value.
  • Shape Technical and Product Decisions: Challenge assumptions, evaluate alternative solutions, and make informed trade‑offs between customer impact, delivery speed, technical complexity, and long‑term sustainability.
  • Own Engineering Execution: Oversee the complete delivery lifecycle, from planning and implementation to deployment, production operations, and post‑launch evaluation.
  • Ensure Predictable Delivery: Establish effective prioritization, coordinate dependencies across teams, identify delivery risks early, and maintain transparency around progress and outcomes.
  • Guide Technical Direction: Contribute to architectural decisions, maintain engineering standards, and promote scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Improve Engineering Practices: Encourage automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, code reviews, observability, and continuous improvement across development workflows.
  • Promote AI‑Assisted Development: Encourage the practical use of large language models and coding assistants to improve implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code quality.
  • Collaborate Across Engineering Squads: Align priorities and technical approaches with other Engineering Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders to support broader organizational objectives.
  • Foster a High‑Performance Culture: Build an inclusive, supportive, and accountable environment that encourages technical excellence, knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical judgment and the ability to participate meaningfully in architectural discussions, evaluate engineering solutions, and guide technical decisions.
  • Problem‑Solving and Ownership: Ability to navigate ambiguity independently, assess competing priorities, make sound trade‑offs, and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • People Management Skills: Excellent leadership, coaching, feedback, and team development capabilities, with a commitment to building effective and motivated engineering teams.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical teams and business partners around shared objectives.
  • Backend and Frontend Technology Familiarity: Experience with modern software development technologies, ideally including PHP with Symfony, Node.js with TypeScript, and Angular with TypeScript.
  • Data and Distributed Systems: Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, scalable data processing, and distributed architectures.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, containerized environments, cloud‑native services, and modern observability practices.
  • Engineering Excellence: Experience with automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, continuous delivery, and A/B testing.
