Engineer, Infrastructure (m/f)

At the end of the 1980s, we expanded beyond the Middle East and acquired land in Portugal for the construction of a sterile factory for injectable pharmaceutical products. This was an important turning point for the company, and our first step into a new region. Today, in Portugal, we have more than 1000 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.

Main Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to identify and implement new ideas that will improve efficiency of the systems and/or the processes
• Coordinates new projects under infrastructure scope
• Ability to coordinate multiple discipline tasks/contractors and update project plan
• Consult and align project specs with Hikma experiences and internal SOP
• Health and safety of all workers/visitors during the project's execution
• Coordinates activities with other Hikma Departments
• Writes reviews and revises department applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service procedures
• Liaises with external Maintenance contractors, ensuring conformance of activities to procedures and processes
• Controls Infrastructure Maintenance KPI and other key metrics regarding utilities
• Supports audit preparation at site
• Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas

Profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrotechnical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year in maintenance, pharmaceutical or food industry environment
• Demonstrated Industrial Maintenance skills on mechanical and electrical systems
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Solid knowledge on Hydraulics, Pneumatics, HVAC, Water treatment, Electrical and Steam systems, acquired on‑job and with certified training entities
• Ability to coordinate multiple discipline tasks/contractors and update project plan
• Should have attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
