Job summary

CTR/Hayco, a multinational manufacturing company in Portugal, seeks an Engineer I Industrial Engineering to join the engineering team in Benavente. You will apply LEAN principles to prevent waste and improve production efficiency, supporting labor routings, BOMs, layouts, and process improvements.

Recent graduates or up to 1 year of experience, with strong Excel and English, are encouraged to apply. CAD/Power BI knowledge is a plus as you contribute to continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Good command of English.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and LEAN methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI, CAD software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist to perform industrial engineering activities including development and maintenance of labor routings and bills of materials.
• Perform standard technical calculations and prepare standard operation sheets.
• Monitor production processes and work methods.
• Collect, compile and analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve production processes.
• Develop plant layout, material flow, sequence of operations, method improvements, labor and cost estimates, cost improvements, safety awareness.
• Support new product implementation.
• Participate in and support LEAN manufacturing initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement activities.

Good analytical skills and ability to interpret production data and performance indicators. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Power BI, statistical analysis tools and CAD software is an advantage. Structured approach to problem-solving, good organizational skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Good command of English.
