CEiiA is looking for an Engineer specialized in Configuration Management and Configuration Control to join the Aeronautics team. The role encompasses developing methodologies for configuration management, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating product changes throughout their lifecycle.

Candidates should possess a degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field and have proven experience in product configuration management. Skills in C++, Python, and CAD software are advantageous. The position offers a supportive work environment that prioritizes a balanced lifestyle.

Engineer | Configuration Management and Configuration Control

We are an Engineering and Product Development Center that conceives, develops, and productizes new technologies, products and services towards a more sustainable society.

We work by bridging together cities, industry and universities around large programs of development and industrialization of products and services, from Portugal, in high-tech sectors such as mobility, aeronautics and space.

This opportunity for an Engineer |Configuration Management and Configuration Control - ARL (m/f/d) will be integrated into the Aeronautics area team.

• Develop tools/methodologies to support the configuration management process
• Ensure compliance of processes with the configuration management plan and rules.
• Control of Part Number attributes, effectivities and lifecycle
• Coordinate and track product changes and control respective documents (Engineering Orders, Change Requests) during the lifecycle.
• Establish a product structure tree for the different industrialization and certification steps, with support from other areas.
• Identify issues and propose improvements to meet configuration requirements.
• Provide the manager with any requested information for planning, execution or control of technical activities such as:
  • The activities’ plan definition and the reporting and tracking of project tasks’ status;
  • Provide work estimates and projections;
  • Alert to potential problems, deviations and needs.
• Prepare and accompany quality audits to established configuration processes.
• Generate project reports and any other relevant certification documentation.
• Academic backgroundin Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanics or equivalent.
• Proven experience with product configuration management.
• Previous experience working with PLM tools (Enovia VPM, Teamcenter), MSOffice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP (SAP) or similar.
• Good programming skills in C++, Python and VBA.
• Good knowledge of materials and production techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD software (CATIA, Siemens Nx) is a plus.
• Good interpersonal skills to work within a diverse team, in rigorous and demanding projects, where analytical and critical thinking as well as problem-solving skills are essential.
