PrimeIT is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Lisbon or Porto. You will work on defining and implementing data governance and data quality frameworks while supporting strategic governance initiatives.

The role targets mid-level professionals with 3 to 6 years of experience in data engineering and strong command of governance practices. Work involves creating data catalogs, lineages, and KPIs to measure maturity and adoption.

Qualificações

• 3 to 6 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of data governance and data quality concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Define, document and evolve Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks and policies.
• Define and implement Data Quality methodologies, rules and metrics.
• Establish mechanisms to monitor and resolve Data Quality issues.
• Define and maintain Data Governance standards across platforms.
• Lead and contribute to data governance initiatives from design to adoption.
• Define Data Governance operating models including ownership and stewardship.
• Support the implementation of Business Glossaries, Data Catalogs and lineage.
• Define KPIs and reporting to measure governance maturity and adoption.
• Provide guidance to teams on governance best practices.

We are looking for a Data Engineer!

Location: Lisbon | Porto

Level of Experience: Mid (3 to 6 years)

Salary Package & Benefits: €1,200 to €2,000 (salary base) + Food Allowance + Flex Benefits

Main Tasks:

• Define, document and evolve Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks, standards, policies, processes and guidelines;
• Define and implement Data Quality methodologies, dimensions, rules, metrics and monitoring processes;
• Establish mechanisms to identify, monitor and support the resolution of Data Quality issues;
• Define and maintain Data Governance standards, guidelines, patterns and best practices across different platforms and technologies;
• Lead and contribute to strategic Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives, from requirements definition and solution design to implementation and adoption;
• Define Data Governance and Data Quality operating models, including Data Ownership and Data Stewardship practices;
• Support the implementation and evolution of Business Glossaries, Data Catalogs and Data Lineage processes;
• Define and monitor KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure the maturity, adoption and effectiveness of Data Governance and Data Quality practices;
• Produce analysis and recommendations to drive continuous improvement across the organisation;
• Guide teams and stakeholders in the adoption of Data Governance and Data Quality best practices.
